And it looks like United have agreed their first major deal for the summer, one which could be a game-changer after The Sun reported on Saturday night that the Red Devils have agreed a stunning £80m deal for Lazio's highly-rated midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic who has been in stunning form this season, scoring 11 Serie A goals and adding another two in the Europa League.
According to the report, the man who has engineered the deal is former Chelsea striker Mateja Kezman.
"Kezman, one of Mourinho’s first signings in England, is agent to the midfielder.
"And his relationship with the Special One put Manchester United in pole position to land Sergej despite Europe’s top clubs looking to swoop." said the former Blue
Milinkovic-Savic will likely feature in a midfield three with fellow countryman Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba next season and the trio could form the powerful, skilful midfield system that United been lacking in recent years.
